13 Nov How to make a Recycled Magazine Pencil Holder
MATERIALS:
Colourful pages from magazines
Toilet roll or if you want a larger size go to a shop that sells carpets and they will have the bigger size rolls
Cardboard
Glue gun
Scissors
Pencil
PVA glue
Elastic bands
Step 2:
Cut out the circle.
Step 3:
Using the glue gun (or if you don’t have one use a strong glue and leave overnight to dry or use tape to secure base), put glue on the base of the pencil holder.
Step 4:
Then put glue on the bottom of the roll and stick to base.
Step 5:
Place the side of the magazine page that you wish to be on the outside facing down. To roll the recycled magazine paper, roll it between your thumb and forefinger to start. Glue it down occasionally while rolling so the magazine does not unfold.
Step 6:
Make enough to fit around the pencil holder.
Step 7:
Cut the rolled magazine paper down to size.
Step 8:
Wipe a good amount of glue onto the pencil holder and stick the rolled magazine paper on. Glue the sides of the of the magazine rolls to each other also.
Step 9:
Repeat step 8 until the whole pencil holder is cover.
Step 10:
When done wrap elastic bands around it. Leave it overnight to dry. Now you have your finished recycled magazine pencil holder!
