Description

Machine Sewing for Beginners

A sewing class for children age 9 and upwards. Vanessa has been teaching children and adults to sew for many years now. So often there is a fear around using a sewing machine. Especially for our younger students.

In this workshop we will explain how a sewing machine works and the basics of operating it.

We will teach our young sewers the essential basic steps to using a sewing machine with confidence.

At the end of the class they will all have a simple project that they have sewed themselves from start to finish.

The class is from 2.15 to 3pm, 45 minutes long and all the materials will be provided.

We have a selection of sewing machines for our students to share but if you have a machine that you would like to learn to use we advise you to bring this with you.

This machine sewing for beginners workshop is designed for children but is also open to adults who wish to learn how to sew. As we always say here at The Craft Corner we are open to everyone.
