Description
Our spring 2026 term of art classes for children in Straffan starts on Thursday 29th January.
The art classes take place in Straffan Community Hall on Thursday afternoons.
The Spring term is a 6 week term, finishing on the 19th March
Classes start on Thursday the 29th January.

What our art classes cover?Â
Each of our art classes teach age appropriate art lessons based on the primary level art curriculum and for our senior artists diving into the Junior cert art curriculum to prepare them for secondary level art should they choose to continue with art at this level
Class Age Groups: What we cover
For our junior art class we very much focus on building your child’s creative confidence, focusing on the building blocks of art. Fine motor skills, colour mixing and theory, 3D construction. We mix in elements of art history, famous artists and art skills in a fun, easy to understand way. Each class builds on the last and each term we reinforce the skills learnt before.
For the 1st class and up students we focus more on drawing, still in a fun engaging manner designed to help your child learn more about art while still having fun along the way. We have a mix of painting, drawing and 3d building each term. We focus more on drawing skills and growing our young artists skill set.
Our 3rd class + group of students is ideally suited for older artists to focus on building their art portfolios and grow their skill set

The best value for this season of art classes is if you book the Spring Summer class bundle, which means that you book both the Spring and Summer term in one go. IF you select to pay deposit only then you only need to pay 50% now and 50% before the Summer term starts.
